The following ride outlines are designed for large capacity road motorcycles and/or cruisers. The suggested routes are prepared to offer the Australian Motorcycle explorer the best riding roads, along with the opportunity to discover Australia the way you want to - On A Motorcycle. You can choose the budget of your ride before you leave home:

The daily objectives are considered very reasonable, with scenic, historic or cultural places of interest highlighted everyday. This offers you as the rider the opportunity to stop and explore, photograph or simply participate in the Australia you have traveled so far to experience.

Great Southern Loop Ride 10 Day Tour

Sydney to Sydney over 10 days cruising some of the most noted riding roads in Australia. You will ride through the most spectacular, historic and scenic regions of New South Wales and Victoria. (Approx. 3,000km round trip)

RIDE OVERVIEW

Your ride takes you south from Sydney along the east coast of New South Wales until you reach the fishing town of Batemans Bay From here you head inland to Australia's national capitol, Canberra. Continuing South, you arrive in the Snowy Mountain area of New South Wales, visiting the towns of Cooma, Jinabyne and Thredbo Next you will head to the town of Bombala, Cann River, Sale and eventually Philip Island, Australia's world famous motorcycle track. Next stop in Melbourne, Australia's second largest city.

After leaving Melbourne you will ride The Great Ocean Road, along the southern coast of Victoria. This is the best touring road in Australia. You will visit the towns of Apollo Bay, Lorne, see the Twelve Apostles and finally arrive in Warmambool. From here you begin to head back into central Victoria through some of our best farming and sheep grazing country before arriving in the historic city of Ballarat, site of one of the greatest gold discoveries in Australia's history. (Circa 1850)

Now you will ride north to the mighty Murray River on the boarder between Victoria and New South Wales, visiting Swan Hill, Echuca, re-entering New South Wales and heading towards the town of Wagga Wagga. From here it is north to the country towns of Bathurst and over the spectacular Blue Mountains, visiting Katoomba and finally back into Sydney and home.

14 Day Tour Great Southern Loop Ride

Sydney to Sydney over 10 days cruising some of the most noted riding roads in Australia. You will ride through the most spectacular, historic and scenic regions of New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria. (Approx. 3,600km round trip)

RIDE OVERVIEW

Your ride takes you south from Sydney along the east coast of New South Wales until you reach the fishing town of Batemans Bay From here you head inland to Australia's national capitol, Canberra. After arriving in Melbourne, you will take an overnight vehicular ferry ride to Davenport in Tasmania and spend 4 days riding in gorgeous Tasmania, returning to Melbourne.

You will visit the towns of Apollo Bay, Lorne, see the Twelve Apostles and finally arrive in Warmambool. Great Barrier Reef Ride 21 Day Tour

Sydney to Cairns and Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. 7 days ride north from Sydney and you find yourself in the tropical paradise of Far North Queensland. 7 days for you to indulge your senses on the pleasures of this magical part of Australia before riding down through Central Queensland, New South Wales and back into Sydney. (Approx. 5,500km round trip)

RIDE OVERVIEW

From Sydney, you ride north, zig zagging across The Great Dividing Range, between the coast, the western slopes of New South Wales and southern Queensland. taking advantage of the superb riding roads, the scenery and the diversity of Australian lifestyles. Your ride will take you through premier wine growing districts of New South Wales, our own country music capital, Tamworth New South Wales and the alternative lifestyle haven of north eastern New South Wales.

You cross the Queensland border near Warwick, the second major city settled in Queensland (Circa 1849) and the heart of the Darling Downs, one of the richest grazing and farming regions in Queensland. You will ride on through the Great Dividing Range to the northeast, reaching the town of Rockhampton on the Tropic of Capricorn. From here on up you are fast entering the tropics, the climate, the vegetation and the visible farming change every day as you ride the Pacific Highway north through Mackay, Ayr, Townsville, Cairns and onto Port Douglas.

You now have 7 days to explore the tropical paradise of Far North Queensland. You can take a boat cruise to The Great Barrier Reef and take in a dive or snorkel or just have a relaxing day. You can ride the Atherton Tablelands, visit the village of Kuranda to see the Aboriginal Dance Theater or ride north to the Mossman Gorge. The Daintree National Park and of course Cape Tribulation. The majority of local roads are well sealed and I am certain you will not find a minute to spare in this paradise.

If you can drag yourself away from Port Douglas, you will head back down the coast of Queensland, picking up places you missed on your ride north. From Rockhampton you will continue south through Gladstone, Maryborough, Gympie, The Sunshine Coast and then into the city of Brisbane. From Brisbane your ride will take you to the famous Gold Coast and then Byron Bay Australia's most easterly point. (And home to Crocodile Dundee!) You will continue down the coast of New South Wales until you hit Port Macquarie then enjoy a relaxing ride beneath the eastern escarpment of The Great Dividing Range through the rolling pastures around Gloucester and on into the heart of the Hunter Valley Wineries, before returning to the sites and sounds of Sydney and home.

32 Day Tour Boomerang Ride

Sydney to Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs, Fraser Island, Brisbane and back to Sydney

Sydney to Sydney experiencing some of the most diverse riding conditions you can imagine. You start in New South Wales, into Victoria, South Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and finally back down into New South Wales. All service and maintenance for the motorcycle will be prearranged through our nationwide network of support agencies and motorcycle shops. (Approx. 9,000km round trip)

RIDE OVERVIEW

Leaving Sydney you head south along the coast towards our Snowy Mountains and then down into Victoria and finally arriving in Melbourne our second largest city. From Melbourne you head west along the south coast of Victoria along the Great Ocean Road, Australia's best touring road taking in Apollo bay, Lorne and the Twelve Apostles. Continuing to head west you cross the border into South Australia and head up to Adelaide and some of Australia's best wine growing country.

As you continue north through South Australia, you will notice dramatic changes to the scenery and vegetation. You will visit opal towns like Coober Pedy, where everybody lives underground in dugouts, due to extreme temperatures of a Central Australian summer. From here you continue north along the Stuart Highway entering the Northern Territory and Australia's most famous tourist attractions, Ayers Rock (Uluru). If you have the desire you can climb her. You now head into Alice Springs for a day of discovery and a service check on your motorcycle. Off again north along the Stuart Highway until you reach Tennant Creek and make a sharp to right heading for Queensland.

Experience the wide-open spaces of central Queensland before hitting the coast and maybe a rest day. Whale watching around Fraser Island. Heading south now into the city of Brisbane and onto the famous Gold Coast. Explore the sub tropical regions of Northern New South Wales and visit Australia's most easterly point, Byron Bay. You will now cross the Great Dividing Range and cruise down the New England Highway and into the Hunter Valley for a little more wine tasting. Lastly you will head into Sydney and home.

This is the true discovery ride, with some long days riding, some short relaxed trips and many excursions to explore and truly discover Australia. For any serious motorcyclist, this is a ride of a lifetime. You will be exposed to the true diversity of the Australian way of life, the nature and its people and the natural beauty both harsh and serene. A ride you will never forget.

Booking Conditions and General Information

BOOKINGS
Please note that all reservations are always subject to availability at the time of booking. Any verbal quote given is only an estimate of the price, which will be effective only upon the issuing of a written advice on confirmation of the reservation. All bookings are subject to the terms, conditions and limitations as detailed in the Hire Agreement. Bookings are accepted subject to the accommodations applied for being available. We reserve the right, without notice, to modify, cancel or withdraw any arrangements and in this event the full amounts paid will be returned to the customer, and upon rendering of the same, all liability shall cease. We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time. We reserve the right to adjust any price without notice whatsoever at any time up to and including the day of departure, even if full payment has been made. Single occupancy of a room by choice or circumstance is subject to the applicable supplement.

PRICING
Prices mentioned in the 1995/6 edition of the brochure have been based on two persons per motorcycle. The single supplement applies to any person(s) wishing to use the motorcycle and accommodation exclusively.

DEPOSITS, FINAL PAYMENT
A deposit for your tour is required along with a signed Booking Request, Booking Conditions and General Information form within 7 days of such a request, but not less than 21 days prior to the tour departure. The balance of the full payment is due prior departure of the tour. If for any reason we do not receive your deposit by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.

AMENDMENT FEES
We suggest you plan your tour departure carefully and avoid changes to your choice lodged. Any amendments will involve an amendment fee where applicable. For each amendment a fee of $25 will be charged in addition to any charges levied by the hotels. If vouchers have been issued, the fee will be $40. An amendment constitutes a change to an existing booking and not a transfer to another tour, wherein cancellation fees may apply. See "Cancellation" clause below.

CANCELLATION
Should you or any member of your party be forced to cancel, you must advise your agent in writing. The person who made the original booking should sign such written advice. The cancellation is not effective until we receive the written advice. Cancellations are subject to a fee payable to compensate for all coats and charges incurred in the handling of the booking. Cancellations will also be subject to cancellation fees levied by any hotel operator according to their respective Booking Terms and Conditions. Please note that it is your responsibility to request from your agent the details of the terms, conditions and Hire Agreement, and to ensure that you have understood their contents. The payment of your deposit constitutes an acceptance of those terms and conditions and your acknowledgment that you will be bound by their cancellation fee charges.

LICENCE REQUIREMENT
Riders must be at least 25 years of age and currently hold and have held for at least 24 months an appropriate driver's license, which is valid in the Northern Territory of Australia. The rider must not have at any time previously been disqualified or suspended from driving a motor vehicle or motorcycle as a consequence of either accumulation of demerit points or an alcohol related driving offence.

FAMILIARIZATION
At the beginning of the tour, customers are required to participate in a "hands-on" familiarization. The purpose of this familiarization is: (a) to allow the tour escort to demonstrate the handling characteristics of a Harley Davidson Heritage Classic or similar Harley Davidson motorcycle, as well as (b) to demonstrate to the tour escort that the rider can safely handle their touring machine, hence not posing a risk to the touring machine, themselves and or any other member of the touring party. If for any reason during this familiarization the tour escort deems that the customer is a risk to the touring machine, themselves and or other members of the touring party, we reserve the right not to hire a touring machine, but to offer that customer to passenger the entire tour in the escort vehicle for a negotiated suitable refund less any expenses incurred. Please see the section, Refunds.

REFUNDS
Please note that no refund is given when cancelled within 14 days of your confirmed tour departure. Refunds for passengers denied touring during the "hands-on" familiarization will be settled through the original booking agent, or if booked directly by the customer, paid to the customer. Customers denied continuation whilst on tour on the grounds of rider or group safety will not be eligible for any refund.

INSURANCE
It is strongly recommended that, at the time of booking, you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy of your choice. We suggest that the policy should include, but not be limited to the following features: Loss of deposit through cancellation, Personal baggage and loss of money, Medical expenses, Additional expenses to cover hotel accommodation and repatriation costs should the tour need to be extended or curtailed due to illness, or due to the need to return home due to the unexpected death or illness of a close relative. This feature should also cover cancellation of transport services due to industrial action. Please consult your Insurance Agent on the insurance policy most suitable for your needs.

LUGGAGE
Luggage, including personal articles, is at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the owners except to the extent of any insurance purchased by the customer. It is also the passenger's responsibility to inquire prior to departure about the restrictions placed on the amount, weight or volume of luggage allowed and to comply with those requirements. Failure to do so might incur additional charges or the refusal to carry the excess luggage.

RESPONSIBILITY
As the tour operator offering the means of transport, hotel accommodation and other services as included on tour, issue vouchers subject to the terms and conditions under which transportation and other services are provided. We do not accept any liability whatsoever for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise of hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your tour or travel pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct and exclusive control. We do not accept any liability in contract or in tort for any accident, injury, damage, loss, delay, irregularity, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any act or event which are beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or any authorities, accidents or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action (whether or not involving our employees and even though such action may be settled by acceding to demands of a labor group).

EXTRA SERVICES
Agents and any tour operator or provider of services is not liable for any changes, fees or costs not included in the customer services offered on tour, and any additional costs are the responsibility of the customer.

  1. Tours are FOB. Miami or LAX. We can book your domestic flights to these cities for additional costs.
  2. Prices range from $9,000 to $13,000 per couple, depending upon the day you select.
  3. Deposits: 25% 30 days prior to departure, in U.S. currency.
  4. Support vehicle is supplied and is incorporated into your tour costs.
  5. We take you to all the shops - The Legend Factory, All Hog chapters and events.
  6. Camping is available on a group basis for specialized tours.
  7. We have ridden these tours and are experts on the places, rides and aspects of this tour and you can be sure of the utmost fun and adventure on your Harley Davidson Tour.

RENTAL INFORMATION
Intending renters MUST hold a current unrestricted motorcycle license. (An international license is preferred)

All of our rental bikes are late model motorcycles and are covered by a comprehensive accident insurance policy. (The cost of insurance is included in the rental fee.) The rental rate sheet indicates the insurance excess payable on all rental motorcycles. (Insurance excess is the amount payable by the renter, if the motorcycle is involved in an accident, providing all rental policy requirements have been adhered to.)

Rental motorcycles are not insured against THEFT, so the security of the motorcycle is the responsibility of the renter.

All rental motorcycles are fitted with alarms or lockable security cables.

The rental rate sheet indicates the deposit required if the motorcycle is used in NSW. The rental deposit on any motorcycle taken interstate is A$1,000. The rental deposit for any international renter is A$1,000.

This deposit is fully refundable when the motorcycle is returned UNDAMAGED. All deposits must be taken on a credit card.

Extended rentals require a service agreement to be signed and complied with. This involves the renter visiting one of our Nation Wide Service Agents for a mechanical check and/or service of the motorcycle during the rental period.

One way rentals incur a return freight fee, which is negotiable depending on the drop off destination.

We have a large range of Motorcycling accessories and can usually supply any riding gear that the renter may require. (Price on application.)

*To confirm a Motorcycle Booking, A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required.
